Bearing hot temperature aluminum paste

The hue of aluminum  paste is directly correlated with temperature. Temperature alters the final presented hue and metallic effect mainly by affecting the chemical stability of aluminum powder and the physical state of the coating system.

  1. High temperatures induce oxidation and blackening (the most critical effect). Aluminum  paste  is a reactive metal. Excessively high ambient temperatures during storage or processing significantly accelerate the oxidation reaction of aluminum paste  , resulting in surface darkening, grayish discoloration, or even blackening, thereby completely losing its bright metallic luster and silvery-white appearance. This represents the most severe and irreversible manner in which temperature affects coloration.

Low temperature: The system features high viscosity, making aluminum paste  hard to shift and arrange neatly, resulting in disordered distribution. It will reduce frontal gloss and cause dull appearance, and also alter side hue (such as more grayish white), leading to poor overall metallic texture.

Affect drying speed and film surface condition

Excessively high construction temperature accelerates solvent volatilization and surface drying speed of the paint film. Aluminum paste may be fixed before fully oriented, which impairs glossiness and hue uniformity. Meanwhile, overly fast drying tends to cause surface defects of the paint film such as pinholes and orange peel, indirectly affecting the visual hue.

Key Factors for Storage Stability

Aluminum paste shall be stored in a cool environment (preferably below 25℃). Prolonged exposure to high temperatures will speed up internal chemical reactions even with sealed packaging, resulting in hue deterioration before opening and use.
